Hello New Jersey!
JoyCreations has now relocated to the beautiful New Jersey Shore. Everyone I met has been really friendly, and I am looking forward to the new adventure with my family. I can't wait to take on new projects for my Jersey neighbors.

Egg Salad Cafe & Grill Logo

If you ask the right questions, logos design themselves. The client was very specific: no yellow, must feel modern and quirky, more based on text, not images. I get inspired by fonts, and this flavor of House 3009: Cyberspace just had such fantastic curves to it. The bowls in these letters (the curved part of the character that encloses the circular or curved parts) looked just like egg yolks to me. I furthered the idea with an oval background, and oval frame in bold colors.

To help the client imagine how the new logo would fit in around the restaurant, I showed it on a plain uniform t-shirt and on a serving apron. Fun fact: I based the shirt and apron on the uniform that the character Sookie Stackhouse wears at Merlottes in the TV show Trueblood.
